Technical Officer (Mine Action)
Dwi commenced her position in November 2017 as the Technical Officer of Mine Action at the ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center (ARMAC). She completed a Master’s Degree in Disaster Management from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark in 2017, and a Bachelor of International Relations from the Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia in November 2013. During her studies in Yogyakarta she was involved with the Humanitarian Action Programme with the Institute of International Studies and participated in several research programmes, including the UGM-Osaka University Research Programme and tandem research with the German Academic Exchange Service’s Support in the University of Freiburg, Germany (2012).
Dwi has undertaken volunteering activities with Komunitas Cemara, Disaster Rescue Unit (DERU – UGM), Jakarta Flood Relief Drive and Danish Refugee Council. Her community service in West Sumatra, 2012, focused on the recovery period of the 2010 earthquake. Prior to commencing at ARMAC, she worked in the Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance Division of the ASEAN Secretariat, Jakarta – Indonesia (2014-2015), and also worked for the United Nations’ Information and Communications Technology and Disaster Risk Reduction Division at UNESCAP in Bangkok, Thailand (2017).
