Technical Officer (Corporate Affairs)
Kea commenced his position as the Technical Officer of Corporate Affairs with the ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center (ARMAC) in November 2017. At the beginning of his employment he was involved with building the foundation of ARMAC, which included drafting policies, assisting with staff recruitment, setting up the workspace, and establishing accounting and internal control systems. Kea oversees the Corporate Affairs team, which is comprised of finance, internal audits, human resources, administration, IT, protocol, logistics, and procurement. In addition, he assists ARMAC in communicating and liaising with local authorities, partners, donors, and representatives of the ASEAN Member States (AMS).
Before joining ARMAC, Kea worked in both the private sector and for local and internal NGOs, in positions that spanned various projects. These projects included disaster response, disaster risk reduction, health equity funds, rural development, water and sanitation, reproductive health, and clinical service. Kea was also a technical advisor for the roll-out of his former employer’s new financial system, a project which spanned multiple Asian countries.
Kea holds a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration, and is working towards becoming an internationally chartered accountant with the international Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
