Theary commenced her position as the Accountant of the ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center (ARMAC) in late March 2019. She is responsible for processing and monitoring payments and expenditures, preparing payroll and tax calculations, maintaining the books of accounts, preparing accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and carrying out internal audits in line with ARMAC’s Policies, Manuals, and Guidelines.
Before joining ARMAC, Theary worked with international and local NGOs for many years, including the National Center for HIV/AIDS Dermatology and STD (NCHADS), Cambodia Women’s Crisis Center (CWCC), and the Economic and Social Re-Lunch of Northwest Province (ECOSORN) M4-Project. She is experienced in financial management, accounting, budgeting preparation, internal control, compliance, risk mitigation, audits, grant management and project administration.
Theary holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Banking, and an Association Degree in Accounting from Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC), and is currently in her fourth year of a Bachelor’s Degree of TESOL there. She is also currently pursuing a Master’s Degree of Business Administration at Cambodian Mekong University in Phnom Penh.
