ARMAC Convenes 23rd Steering Committee Meeting to Advance Mine Action in ASEAN
On 30 July 2025, the ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center (ARMAC) held its 23rd Steering Committee Meeting at its Permanent Secretariat in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The meeting was chaired by H.E. Mr. Shaharuddin bin Onn, Ambassador of Malaysia to Cambodia and Chair of the ARMAC Steering Committee. Representatives from all 10 ASEAN Member States participated, reaffirming their shared commitment to regional peace and the humanitarian imperative of mine action.
This high-level engagement provided an important opportunity to reflect on ARMAC’s progress, align on strategic priorities, and enhance regional cooperation to achieve our collective goal: a mine-free, resilient, and prosperous ASEAN.
